Here’s my new quilt SPRING FEVER. There are some beautiful grey fabrics coming into our quilt shops. I wanted to make a bright colourful quilt and I felt that using the dark grey background would make the colours pop. And itcertainly did. Its kinda like a strippy quilt. There are two strips of small dresdens (top and bottom), a large strip with the vase and flowers, a strip of squares in squares and another applique strip. I changed my mind on the vase fabric quite a few times. Nothing looked “just right” until I found that gorgeous orange which teamed up so well with the blue check fabric. I’m sure by now you know that I love EPP and try and include it whenever I can. Both large and small dresdens had been prepped some time ago and were just waiting for me to catch up to them – and design something using them. The fourth applique strip was one I designed a few years ago for another quilt – it never got used and again, was just waiting for me to fall in love with it again.
SPRING FEVER is now available as a pattern at a cost of $30 (which includes a starter pack for the small dresden papers) plus postage. You can buy this directly from my website – just go to Shop.
